2nd of January 2009:
One of the most professional companies I have worked at. The domain itself excites anybody from a kid to a grown up. We are actually paid to have fun. Developing games is, for sure, not a game but is real fun. Gusto provides the perfect ambience to have that fun.

Formed in 2003 by six games industry veterans, Gusto Games is a 100% independent games developer operating from new offices in a delightful Oxfordshire village in the heart of the English countryside. The founders of Gusto have a development heritage stretching back many years not only as individuals, but also as a team. Gusto has its own propriety cross-platform technology, Proteus, which has been refined over the past 10 years and proven across many platforms and titles.
Some highlights for Gusto Games include:
* Within days of incorporation Gusto secured a contract to develop ‘Urban Freestyle Soccer’ on PS2, Xbox, Gamecube and PC.
* In 2004 Gusto was approached by Eidos to handle all console development of their flagship brand ‘Championship Manager’.
* In 2005 Gusto signed its original game ‘ProStroke Golf’ to publisher Oxygen Interactive.
* At the end of 2005 Gusto Games entered the ‘Develop 100 – Most Successful Games Development Studios’
* Nominated as ‘Best New UK Development Studio’ in the Develop Awards 2005.
* The studio won ‘Best Creative’ at the 2006 Oxfordshire Business Awards.
* 2006 saw the relase of ‘Championship Manager 2006’ on PS2, Xbox and PSP.
* Simon Phillips, Gusto’s Managing Director, awarded Oxfordshire’s ‘Young Business Person of the Year 2006’
* 2007 saw the successful release of ‘Championship Manager 2007’ on Xbox 360, PS2 and PSP a title that was developed in less than 9 months.
* 2007 also saw the release of Gusto's first online distributed title ‘UTour Golf’ via the SkillGround game network.
* In June 2007 and based in Derby a second studio was formed to specialise in non-sports products, the first of which will be released in 2008 by Scholastic Media.
* Between 2007 and 2008 Gusto doubled its head count and is continuing to expand as we build new partnerships with visionary publishers.
* September 2008 Gusto is ‘5 years old’. Without its team of dedicated professionals this would not have been possible.
* October 2008 saw the release of our first products aimed at the children's market, ‘Ultimate I SPY and Goosebumps Horrorland’.
* November 2008 and ‘Golf.com Pro Challenge’ is released on Facebook.
